Soft skills are an individual's personal traits, communication, language, friendliness, optimism, and sociability. Soft skills (or the lack there of) are generally indicative of a person's 'emotional intelligence'. Soft skills complement technical skills, such as IQ/industry expertise. It's in an individual's best interests to possess both hard and soft skills.
