Horizontal blank time
Following horizontal active time, once the beam reaches the right-hand side of the screen, it immediately moves back to the left-hand side. This movement to the left side always occurs when the beam is turned off. The time it takes for the beam to return to the left side of the screen from the right side is the horizontal blank time.
