Internment
Another term for confinement. It's the forced relocation of a specific group of individuals, usually based on ethnicities, to a detention centre or facility. Internment is sometime used in wartime to segregate enemy citizens due to potential loyalty towards the enemy forces. For example, many U.S. citizens of Japanese ancestry were rounded up and interned by the United States government at 10 different internment or 'concentration' camps in the wake of Imperial Japan's attack on Pearl harbour in 1941.
